The couple tied the knot on November 4, 2002, at St Mary’s Church in Kincasslagh, Donegal, after meeting in Tenerife and falling in love. Despite their deep connection to Tenerife, where they first met, Daniel says a permanent move there isn’t in the cards just yet. In a recent interview with RSVP, he explained, “We like it the way it is. We enjoy having the opportunity to travel there and we like coming home again.” He added that they’re just as happy spending quiet days in Donegal, cherishing family time and simple pleasures.
Daniel spoke movingly about their shared life: “I feel blessed. We have a lovely life together and Siobhan and Michael have brought me great joy, as have the grandchildren. I would have had none of that if I hadn’t met Majella. She brought so much in one package.”
