Majella O’Donnell Blasts Eamonn Holmes for ‘Disgusting Comments’ About Phillip Schofield
Majella O’Donnell, wife of Irish country star Daniel O’Donnell, has publicly criticised Eamonn Holmes, calling his repeated remarks about former ITV presenter Phillip Schofield “disgusting” and “toxic.”
Taking to social media, Majella expressed frustration over the GB News host’s ongoing criticism of Schofield, who resigned from This Morning last year after admitting to an affair with a younger male colleague. While the relationship was described as “unwise but not illegal,” the fallout dominated British headlines for months, with Holmes remaining one of the story’s most vocal commentators.
Majella, known for her forthrightness and compassion, posted a screenshot of an article about Holmes’ long-running feud with former GMTV co-host Anthea Turner, adding her own sharp response. “Don’t treat people the way you do,” she wrote. “It’s disgusting to hear you going on about PS [Phillip Schofield] regardless of his misjudgements. He did nothing illegal.”
