Dolly Parton Announces Exciting Las Vegas Residency After 32 Years: “See You There!”
Dolly Parton is returning to Las Vegas for a limited residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace this December, marking her first extended run in the city in over three decades. The 79-year-old country music legend made the exciting announcement on Monday, June 23, revealing that she will perform six shows this December during the National Finals Rodeo.
“To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there,” Parton said in a press release. “I’m looking so forward to the shows in The Colosseum at Caesars, and I hope you are as well. See you there!” The residency, titled Dolly: Live in Las Vegas, will take place on December 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, and 13.
Parton, who last performed an extended run in Las Vegas 32 years ago, is excited to bring her iconic blend of hit songs to the city once again. Fans can expect to hear her timeless classics such as “9 to 5,” “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Coat of Many Colors” during these performances, promising an unforgettable concert experience.
Tickets for Parton’s limited engagement will go on sale on Wednesday, June 25, at 10 a.m. PT. A variety of special packages are available for eager fans, including the “Dolly Forever” VIP Package, which grants access to a pre-show reception in Dolly’s Rhinestone Lounge, the Live in Las Vegas VIP Gift Set, and early access for shopping merchandise. For those seeking an even more exclusive experience, the Star of the Show VIP Experience offers all the perks of the “Dolly Forever” package, plus a professional photo op with Parton and an onstage tour of the performance area.
Parton’s history in Las Vegas dates back to the early 1980s, where she performed several shows at the Riviera Hotel, and later, four concerts at the Mirage Hotel in 1993. Both of these venues have since closed, but Parton’s love for the city remains. In a 2022 interview with The Tennessean, she fondly recalled her past Las Vegas shows, saying, “I had a great time staying in some of the world’s best hotels, eating free food, and trying to not order so much room service as a way to pass the time between my shows.”
Known for her sparkling sense of humor, Parton added, “It’s a magical city, and I love how much the city celebrates entertainment. It’s hot out there, though, so besides the shows and the casinos, there’s really not a whole lot to do.”
In addition to her Vegas performances, Dolly Parton hosted the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, further solidifying her connection with the city. Now, fans have the chance to experience her legendary performances in the heart of the entertainment world this December.
