George Strait, the legendary Country Music Hall of Famer, is stepping up to raise money for those impacted by the catastrophic flooding that struck Texas in July 2025. Strait, alongside his long-time partner Tom Cusick from Vaqueros del Mar, has announced a special benefit concert and dinner titled “Strait From the Heart,” aimed at providing immediate relief to flood victims in Texas Hill Country.

The event will take place on Sunday, July 27, at the Estancia at Thunder Valley indoor arena in Boerne, Texas. The concert will feature Strait himself, along with several of his celebrity friends, all coming together to support the communities affected by the devastating floods. Local first responders will be given free tickets as a gesture of thanks for their tireless efforts during the crisis.

The recent floods, caused by heavy rainfall and a surge in the Guadalupe River, have resulted in at least 120 deaths and left 160 people still missing, with search efforts winding down as hopes of finding survivors diminish. The funds raised from the benefit concert will go directly to the Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund, which will distribute the money to affected families and local community funds in Kerr County and the surrounding areas.

“This tragedy has been hard to comprehend, and our hearts and prayers are with everyone affected,” said George Strait in his statement. “The goal of this event is to provide immediate support for the victims, and to honor the selfless work of first responders who have been working around the clock to save lives.”
