Daniel O’Donnell Debunks Hospital Rumours and Warns Fans of Scams

Donegal’s beloved crooner Daniel O’Donnell has taken to Facebook to quash recent online rumours claiming he was injured in a car accident and hospitalized—and to alert his followers that these posts are part of a scam targeting his fanbase.

I’m feeling very well,” Daniel says in his video statement. “I’ve seen pictures suggesting I’m very unwell in hospital, but they’re fake—doctored images telling people I need help.”

Having spotted several bogus posts and manipulated photos, he urged fans to:

  • Ignore any messages claiming he’s in critical condition.

  • Avoid engaging with links or requests for assistance.

  • Never send money in response to these appeals.

Unfortunately, this latest scheme isn’t an isolated incident. Last month, a fraudulent account impersonating Daniel asked fans to donate to non-existent campaigns and projects—an effort his team quickly exposed.

Daniel concluded, “There’s not much we can do to stop these scammers except to stay vigilant. Please ignore anything you see that doesn’t come from my official channels, and thank you for your continued support.”

Fans are encouraged to follow Daniel’s genuine updates on his verified social media profiles and official website—and to report any suspicious activity to the platform.
