BREAKING NEWS: Mattie, Alan Jackson’s Eldest Daughter, Reveals Family Business Struggles and Her Father’s Worsening Health

Alan Jackson’s Daughter Mattie Joins the Family Legacy — But with a Whiskey Twist

Mattie Jackson isn’t picking up a microphone—but she is stepping into the family business.

The eldest daughter of country music legend Alan Jackson has officially joined the team behind Silverbelly Whiskey, her father’s signature spirits brand. Rather than taking center stage musically, Mattie is making her mark behind the scenes—as Silverbelly’s new Master Blender.

It’s a title that comes with real weight, and Mattie’s more than ready. A certified bourbon professional and Level 2 sommelier, she brings both technical expertise and deep-rooted passion to the role.

“Over my years in the industry, I’ve often joked that wine stole my mind and whiskey stole my heart,” she said in a statement. “Joining Silverbelly feels incredibly special—like coming full circle.”

Her job? Blending each new expression of the brand, overseeing quality control, and leading research and development. As Silverbelly evolves, Mattie will be the taste behind the label.

Alan Jackson launched Silverbelly Whiskey in 2022, naming each batch after one of his No. 1 country hits—merging two lifelong loves: music and smooth Tennessee whiskey. Now, with Mattie on board, the brand gains a personal, generational touch.

“I’m so happy to have my daughter, Mattie, help steer my Silverbelly Whiskey,” Jackson shared. “I think she has some of her ol’ dad’s tastebuds.”

Mattie’s move into whiskey production comes at a poignant time in her father’s career. Jackson is currently in the midst of his Last Call: One More for the Road Tour, set to wrap in 2025. While he hasn’t declared it his final tour, he’s said it will be the last time fans see him perform in many cities.

The Country Music Hall of Famer, now 65, revealed in 2021 that he’s been living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease—a progressive neurological condition affecting muscle control and coordination. The diagnosis played a role in his decision to scale back touring and spend more time with family.
