Alan Jackson’s Daughter, Alexandra “Ali” Jackson, Arrested for Assaulting a Police Officer
In an unexpected turn of events, Alexandra “Ali” Jackson, the 20-year-old daughter of country music legend Alan Jackson, was arrested early Wednesday morning in Nashville, Tennessee. Ali is now facing multiple charges, including underage drinking, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
The incident began when a Range Rover, with Ali as a passenger, was pulled over by authorities for speeding and tailgating south of Music Row. Reports indicate that during the traffic stop, Ali became agitated and exited the vehicle. She then allegedly physically struck one of the officers in the chest after making aggressive demands.
According to the arrest warrant, Ali admitted to having consumed three alcoholic beverages, which led to the underage drinking charge. The situation escalated further when Ali allegedly told the officer that her father, Alan Jackson, “would do anything I wanted him to do.” This statement, along with her resistance to the officers’ attempts to handcuff her, led to additional charges of resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.
Ali Jackson is now set to appear in court on September 23 to face the charges. This incident follows a hoax earlier this year in which a Facebook rumor falsely claimed she was involved in a car accident, making this recent turn of events even more unfortunate.
Alan Jackson, who is currently promoting his new album The Bluegrass Album, has yet to comment publicly on the arrest. The country star had been in Nashville for a celebratory event marking the album’s release at The Station Inn, which is located just a mile away from where the arrest occurred. Fans of the Jackson family, known for their public image of stability, have been left shocked by the unexpected news.
