Daniel O’Donnell to Lead Charity Concert Honoring Little Eoin Arnold — A Night of Music, Memory, and Community Support
Donegal, Ireland — Beloved country singer Daniel O’Donnell is set to headline a deeply meaningful charity concert in memory of little Eoin Arnold, a brave two-year-old boy whose story touched hearts across the country. Eoin sadly passed away in April 2024, just two weeks before his second birthday, after being diagnosed with a rare malignant rhabdoid tumour in his liver. His courage, his smile, and the love that surrounded him continue to inspire many.
The tribute concert will take place on December 20th, 2024, at the Blue Haven Kilcar, and aims to raise vital funds for several charities close to Eoin’s journey, including Donegal Hospice, Oscar Kidsclub, Little Blue Heroes, Irish Cancer Society, and the Irish Fund for Children. Tickets for the event are priced at €40, with additional online donations encouraged for those who cannot attend but wish to support the cause.
Eoin, remembered by his family and community as a “brave, beautiful little boy,” spent his final days at home, surrounded by devotion and tenderness. Throughout his illness, he was embraced not only by his parents Orla and Paul, and his big brother Jamie, but by grandparents, relatives, neighbors, and the wider Donegal community. His obituary paid tribute to the outpouring of love that sustained the family — a testament to how profoundly Eoin’s short life touched those around him.
One of the most touching moments in Eoin’s journey was when he was made an Honorary Garda through the Little Blue Heroes initiative. At the time of his passing, An Garda Síochána Donegal wrote a heartfelt tribute:
