DOLLY PARTON OPENS “SONGTELLER HOTEL” — A COLORFUL CELEBRATION OF MUSIC, STORYTELLING, AND SOUTHERN HEART
Nashville, Tennessee — The Queen of Country has done it again! Dolly Parton has officially opened the doors to her long-awaited SongTeller Hotel, a stunning new property in downtown Nashville that’s as vibrant, heartfelt, and imaginative as the woman herself.
Named after her best-selling memoir Songteller: My Life in Lyrics, the hotel is a living, breathing reflection of Dolly’s world — where every corner sings, every color tells a story, and every guest becomes part of her musical legacy.
From the moment visitors step into the lobby, they’re greeted by a kaleidoscope of pinks, golds, and warm Tennessee tones, all designed to evoke the charm and creativity that define Dolly’s life and music. Vintage microphones, handwritten lyric sheets, and dazzling stage outfits line the walls, turning the hotel into a museum-meets-theater experience.
💬 “This hotel isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to dream,” Dolly said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “Every song I’ve ever written started with a story, and I wanted this to be a home for all those stories — and for everyone who loves them.”
True to her roots, the SongTeller Hotel also champions community and comfort. Guests can enjoy live acoustic sessions in the “Coat of Many Colors Lounge,” a rooftop bar called “9 to 5,” and a cozy Southern restaurant serving Dolly’s favorite home-style dishes — from chicken and dumplings to peach cobbler just like her mama used to make.
Each suite is themed after one of her classic songs. The “Jolene Room” glows with fiery red accents and bold energy, while the “Islands in the Stream Suite” offers serene, ocean-inspired decor. The “I Will Always Love You Penthouse” even features a grand piano and panoramic views of downtown Nashville — the perfect space for proposals, anniversaries, or quiet reflection.
Parton also emphasized that the hotel will serve a greater purpose, continuing her lifelong mission of giving back. A portion of proceeds will go to the Imagination Library, Dolly’s global literacy foundation that has gifted more than 230 million books to children worldwide.
💬 “Music and stories can change lives,” she added. “This place is my way of saying thank you — to Nashville, to my fans, and to everyone who ever found a little piece of themselves in my songs.”
The grand opening drew hundreds of fans, country stars, and Nashville icons, all celebrating the woman whose music has shaped generations. With laughter, live performances, and a surprise rendition of “My Tennessee Mountain Home” by Dolly herself, it was an evening that perfectly captured her spirit — joyful, humble, and full of love.
As one guest put it while checking in, “Only Dolly could build a hotel that feels like a hug.”
The SongTeller Hotel is now open in downtown Nashville — a place where stories sing, hearts connect, and every guest leaves with a little more sparkle than when they arrived.
